Order Sub-Panels in the Module – SugarCRM 7

By
Last Modified Date

Sugar 7 releases brought many changes and advancements in the SugarCRM 7  software. Few of these were integrated into the User Interface (UI) and many in its features and technical functionalities. If compared with the previous version, Sugar 6 was simple; users could change the order of sub-panels in any module just by drag and drop technique. However, in Sugar 7, new mature processes were defined. One mature process was made for the ordering of sub-panels. In Sugar 7, the procedure is as follows:

To change the order in Sugar 7 modules, copy the file: modules/”module_name”/clients/base/layouts/subpanels/subpanels.php and paste it onto:

custom/modules/’module_name”/clients/base/layouts/subpanels/subpanels.php

Then, you can add custom sub-panel definition to the array in any order desired. You can refer to the example, given below:

array(

‘layout’ => ‘subpanel’,

‘label’ => ‘LBL_CALLS,

‘context’ => array(

‘link’ => ‘calls_1’,

),

),

.. // Code omitted

array(

‘layout’ => ‘subpanel’,

‘label’ => ‘LBL_NOTES’,

‘context’ => array (

‘link’ => ‘notes_1’,

),

),

array(

‘layout’ => ‘subpanel’,

‘label’ => ‘LBL_APPOINTMENTS’,

‘context’ => array (

‘link’ => ‘appts_1’,

),

),
