Case Study: Customized SugarCRM for Construction Industry

Currently operating in six areas in Central Oregon and two areas in the Portland Area, MonteVista Homes has been been building and selling quality, value-packed homes since 1989. They are renowned for their innovative designs and solid craftsmanship. They engineer high-value, cost and space efficient homes tailored to the unique requirements of their customers while taking into account ecological considerations.

Challenges

MonteVista Homes was looking to boost their productivity and provide better service to their clients. To this end, they wanted us to help them cut down on manual and repetitive tasks such as having to print out copies of legal documents and sending them out to customers via fax or mail for signatures. They wanted to be able to manage all of this along with other business functions seamlessly from within their SugarCRM.

Results

Using the RT DocuSign plugin with integrated templates, MonteVista Homes could now easily set up templates and send them over to their customers for signatures. The fields in these templates were automatically parsed and filled with the customer details fetched directly from SugarCRM. As a result, the need for manually creating a separate document for each customer was completely eliminated. Thus, the process was made more convenient and efficient for everyone involved. The custom MailChimp plugin enabled them to sync their SugarCRM accounts, contacts, leads and targets with their MailChimp subscribers’ list and back from the subscribers’ list to a Sugar module of their choosing. The custom lead scoring dashlet allowed them to monitor active campaigns in real time and offered them effective insights into their marketing campaigns and subscribers.

In the near future, we will be integrating their SugarCRM with Quickbooks and installing RT GSync to enable 2-way email syncing and email archiving. We will also implement custom workflows to help them better meet their business needs.
